V5 Gemini

The IsoTek V5 Gemini is a compact power cleaning and distribution bar with 2 individually isolated outlets. Measuring 270mm in length, 80mm in width and 50mm in height, it uses a central internal PCB rather than connecting the outlet sockets in series. This prevents Differential Mode Noise created by connected audio components from crossing between the outlets.

The V5 Gemini uses a delta filter topology rated at 10 times the recommended standard. It provides more than 20dB of power cleaning at 1kHz, referenced to 600Ohms, increasing to 42dB at 10kHz. This addresses both Common Mode, or RFI, and Differential Mode mains noise. The PCB has twice the standard copper loading and is silver-plated.

Each outlet is independently isolated to prevent cross-contamination of Differential Mode mains noise. IsoTek’s KERP (Kirchhoff’s Equal Resistance Path) provides equal resistance and equal power delivery to both outlets. A System Link outlet allows multiple units to be connected while maintaining a star earth reference and avoiding the need for multiple wall outlet sockets.

Internal power delivery uses 2sqmm wiring with pure 6n oxygen-free copper conductor strands, each silver-plated. The conductors provide low resistance and high amperage, and are protected by an aerospace-grade Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) dielectric with very low dielectric resistance. This also provides the conductor contact dielectric for the internal power delivery system.

Instantaneous protection in the V5 version is rated at 45,000A. IsoTek’s sequential and repeatable protection system protects the circuit and connected equipment.

The internal wiring is designed to work with IsoTek power cables, maintaining commonality of design and material properties through an audio wiring loom, whether it is a signal-carrying cable or a power cable network. A wall-hanging bracket system is included for mounting the V5 Gemini behind an audio equipment rack.
