Uniti Nova

The Naim Uniti Nova is an all-in-one music player with an integrated 80-watt-per-channel Class A/B amplifier in a single compact enclosure. It is the reference player in the Uniti range, designed to combine source selection, digital processing and amplification in one unit while providing the power required to drive demanding loudspeakers. Its design uses the available internal space for substantial transformers, linear power supplies and the amplifier circuitry.

Fourth-generation streaming platform

The Uniti Nova uses a 40-bit SHARC DSP processor for digital audio processing. It removes jitter, which is a timing error, and uses Naim's RAM buffer technology, first introduced in the Naim DAC and NDS. The audio is oversampled 16 times before being sent to the premium Burr Brown DACs. This processing is intended to provide precise timing, detail and depth across the music.

Class A/B amplification

Its 80-watt-per-channel amplifier uses technology derived from Naim's NAIT integrated amplifier. The filter sections use through-hole film capacitors and discrete transistors. The power amplifier sections operate at twice the speed of the previous design and run from linear power supplies with substantial transformers. Premium Burr Brown DACs are also fitted as part of the digital-to-analogue section.
