Twenty5.Sub

The PMC Twenty5.Sub is an active subwoofer for home listening, designed to extend a stereo or home cinema system with controlled low-frequency reproduction. It combines active electronics derived from PMC’s professional systems with a 400W Class-D ultra-low-distortion amplifier, proprietary ATL™ and Laminair™ technologies, and potent 6.5-inch high-excursion bass units.

The PMC Twenty5.Sub reproduces frequencies down to 22Hz and is designed to handle wide dynamic contrasts, from the complex soundtrack of a Hollywood film to the fine detail of a chamber music solo. Its transmission-line design uses PMC’s ATL concept with Laminair, a development based on research into the aerodynamics of the transmission line. The result is a natural, balanced tone with rich bass from whisper-quiet levels upwards, alongside precise timing and detailed reproduction.

Finished in Diamond Black, the slender cabinet is designed to fit discreetly into modern or traditional interiors. The Twenty5.Sub includes intuitive user controls for EQ and filters, allowing it to be integrated with the listening environment and accompanying loudspeakers. It can also be used in a stereo system, where it handles the low frequencies and allows the left and right speakers to focus on the mid-range.

Used with compact PMC twenty5.21 or twenty5.22 loudspeakers, the subwoofer forms a system with performance close to that of the three-way twenty5.26, while retaining a more discreet package. The twenty5 series is based on 25 years of PMC research, design and cabinet-making, with a range of styles and finishes intended for different home interiors.
