Tube 1012

The Gold Note Tube 1012 is a tube audio unit designed to combine solid-state and tube technologies in a single system, bringing tube sound to Gold Note’s range while retaining control and definition in the reproduction of a musical event.

The Tube 1012 uses 12 tubes. Of these, 8 are dedicated to the audio signal path and drivers, with inductive power supplied through 6 transformers in a virtual battery design. A further 2 power transformers supply the service stage, which is completely outside the audio signal path.

Its proprietary Totem-Pole Output Stage uses 6 independent stages per tube. This provides an ultra-wide bandwidth response and very low distortion in the audio signal.

The Tube 1012 is straightforward to connect and control, and includes a dedicated MUTE button. It can be matched with the Gold Note CD1000, DS-1000, P-1000 and PH-1000.

The same tube and solid-state design approach is also used in the TUBE-1006. This 6-tube unit has 4 tubes dedicated to the audio signal path, while 2 drive the output through 2 transformers in a Dual Mono configuration. An additional power transformer supplies the service stage, completely outside the audio signal path.

The TUBE-1006 uses a Class A output stage with 6 tubes to enhance the performance of Gold Note sources. Both models use the proprietary Totem-Pole Output Stage, with 6 independent stages per tube for ultra-wide bandwidth response and very low distortion.
