T/7x
The REL T/7x centres on an 8-inch long-throw active driver and 10-inch passive driver, supported by a 200-watt MOSFET Class A/B amplifier. Its High Level Input connection draws no power from the amplifier, helping the subwoofer blend naturally with the main speakers while delivering fast, deep and tuneful bass.
The REL T/7x is a subwoofer with REL’s High Level Input connection and fast filters. It connects to the speaker outputs of an amplifier without drawing power from it, allowing the subwoofer to blend naturally with the main speakers. REL’s tuning and limiters give the T/7x a fast, dynamic presentation with a natural character.
Balancing speed, weight and bass extension requires careful integration of the drive units, cabinet and amplifier. The REL T/7x combines a quick, delicate response with deep, tuneful bass, while its cabinet allows it to play louder than most systems will require.
Reimagined, Then Reengineered
The cabinet volume was increased to support greater fluidity and power, while the dimensions were developed to retain a compact visual footprint. Gently rounded corner radii allow the eye to flow over the cabinet, reducing its apparent visual mass. The result is a modern, clean design without unnecessary adornment.
Alloy/Fibre Bass Engines
The 8” long-throw active driver and 10” passive driver provide the speed and clean bass response of the REL T/7x. A thorough revision of the critical suspension components gives the subwoofer greater agility and suppleness. Stiffer suspensions, designed for advanced duty, allow each driver to trace fine detail, travel farther and handle more power. The T/7x is louder and more powerful than expected for its size, while also offering a faster, more reactive and more transparent response than the previous generation.
The Power Behind REL
REL has retained the Class A/B amplifier design used throughout every generation of Serie T since 2006. Around 200,000 units of this range have been produced and are in service. The T/7x uses a 200-watt MOSFET amplifier with substantial current reserves, supported by large power supplies and upgrades throughout the design. New driver MOSFETs improve performance and transparency, while revised methods for securing the toroidal transformers support reliability.
Standby Mode switch is only included on 220V units.
