The Lumin T3x adds a toroidal linear power supply, optical-fibre networking and dual ES9028Pro SABRE DACs operating in dual-mono configuration. Its fibre SFP isolates the network from digital noise, while dual USB ports and processing up to DSD256 and PCM384 support flexible high-resolution playback.

The LUMIN T3X network music streamer combines the latest LUMIN processing system with a dual-mono DAC stage, an integrated toroidal linear power supply and optical fibre networking. It supports high-resolution playback and streaming services including Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, MQA, TIDAL, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz, TuneIn and AirPlay.
The LUMIN T3X uses dual ES9028Pro SABRE DACs in a dual-mono configuration, with a precision analogue output stage that incorporates LUMIN X1 technology. Dual-mono circuitry is used throughout, with ultra-low noise and high dynamic range.

Optical fibre networking
The dual-network interface includes an SFP fibre connection, which isolates the player from network noise. The fibre connection can be used at the same time as the RJ45 connection, allowing the T3X to operate as a network switch. For example, one connection can be linked to a router and the other to a LUMIN L1, L2 or NAS.
LUMIN processing system
The established LUMIN hardware and software system provides the processing power required for current streaming technologies. Its processing power and storage capacity allow flexible resampling and support for future formats.
Digital and analogue processing
Upsampling and downsampling are available to every supported format, including DSD256 and PCM384. Leedh Processing provides lossless digital volume control for all LUMIN players, using an algorithm designed to eliminate rounding errors at no additional cost.

Development from the LUMIN T3
The LUMIN T3X combines the toroidal linear power supply from the U2 with optical fibre networking used in LUMIN flagship players, and adds an extra USB port. It is an upgraded version of the LUMIN T3.
Streaming formats and services
Playback includes MQA, DSD, FLAC and WAV, together with native support for TIDAL, Qobuz, Spotify and AirPlay. These services provide access to 10s of millions of songs. Additional supported services and sources include Roon, KKBox, QQMusic and FLAC radio stations.
The LUMIN App provides the control interface for the player. TINMAN described it as the most convenient interface in existence. LUMIN's continuing development programme has added Roon, MQA and Spotify support, including additions made in 2017.
