The Focal Sopra SW1000 is a subwoofer redesigned from the Electra Be subwoofer for compatibility with the other loudspeakers in the Sopra range. Its 13" (33cm) "W" cone driver has high rigidity to minimise distortion at high volume, while the high-power 600 W RMS BASH® amplifier provides the required drive. A front laminar port is used to avoid dynamic bass compression.
A 24-bit digital signal processor (DSP) provides a broad range of controls for adapting the SW 1000 Be to different listening rooms. The subwoofer has a bass cut-off frequency of 18 Hz and an SPL of 118 dB. Multiple Focal SW 1000 Be subwoofers can be linked together.
