Sonetto II G2

The Sonus Faber Sonetto II G2 centres on a flower-patterned woofer surround and silk dome D.A.D. tweeter, using paper pulp sandwich cones and an organic basket to support bass response and airflow. The tweeter delivers detailed high frequencies, while the surround helps reduce interference and improve sound dispersion for a balanced presentation.

The Sonus Faber Sonetto II G2 is a stand-mounted loudspeaker from the Sonetto G2 collection, developed using technologies introduced for the Suprema range. The collection applies a science-led approach to speaker design and includes stand-mounted, floor-standing and wall-mount models, all made with high-quality materials and Italian craftsmanship.

FLOWER-PATTERNED WOOFER SURROUND

The woofer and mid-woofer surrounds use a Camelia flower pattern, designed to reduce interference and improve sound dispersion. Their cones use paper-pulp sandwich structures for precise, dynamic bass response, while the organic baskets support airflow through the drive units.

SILK DOME D.A.D. TWEETER

The silk-dome tweeter provides detailed high-frequency reproduction and contributes to the balanced sound of the Sonetto G2 speakers.

CAMELIA MIDRANGE SPEAKER

First developed for Suprema, the Camelia midrange driver uses an unpainted membrane shaped after the camelia flower. It is mounted on an organic basket, with the membrane profile designed to avoid the resonances associated with circular diaphragms and support Sonus faber's Natural Sound signature. An aluminium phase plug optimises frequency response and clarity both on and off axis. The Camelia midrange is used in Sonetto VIII, Sonetto V and Sonetto Centre.

Cork internal volume

The cork chamber design developed for Suprema is used in Sonetto V and Sonetto VIII. Its organic internal shape allows sound waves to move through the chamber without the interruptions created by regular walls, helping control sound propagation and resonance while improving midrange resolution and Natural Sound quality.
