Sonetto I G2

The Sonus Faber Sonetto I G2 is a loudspeaker from the Sonetto G2 Collection, which applies technological developments from Suprema through a science-driven design philosophy. The collection includes stand-mounted speakers, floor-standing speakers and wall-mount options, all made with high-quality materials and the signature character of Italian craftsmanship.

FLOWER-PATTERNED WOOFER SURROUND

The woofers and mid-woofers use a surround with a Camelia flower pattern. This reduces interference and improves sound dispersion, while the paper pulp sandwich cone structures provide a precise and dynamic bass response. An organic basket supports airflow around the driver.

SILK DOME D.A.D. TWEETER

The silk dome tweeter provides detailed high-frequency reproduction and contributes to the balanced sound of the Sonetto G2 speakers.

CAMELIA MIDRANGE SPEAKER

Originally developed for Suprema, the Camelia midrange speaker has an unpainted membrane shaped after the camelia flower. It is mounted on an organic basket, with the unpainted surface used to preserve sound purity. The membrane shape avoids the resonances associated with circular membranes and supports the Sonus faber Natural Sound signature.

An aluminium Phase Plug optimises the frequency response and clarity both on and off axis. The Camelia Midrange is used in the Sonetto VIII, Sonetto V and Sonetto Centre.

Cork internal volume

Sonus faber's Suprema speakers also inform the cork chamber design used in the Sonetto V and Sonetto VIII. This organic chamber construction improves midrange resolution and Natural Sound quality by allowing sound waves to pass through the enclosure with a continuous flow.

Its organic form removes regular walls inside the chamber, supporting acoustic control over sound propagation and resonance.
