Sonetto I G2

The Sonus Faber Sonetto I G2 is a stand-mounted loudspeaker from the Sonetto G2 collection, which inherits technological developments from the Suprema range and follows a design philosophy based on scientific work and sonic performance.

The Sonetto G2 collection includes stand-mounted loudspeakers, floor-standing loudspeakers and wall-mount options. Each model uses high-quality materials and reflects Sonus faber’s Italian craftsmanship.

Flower-patterned woofer surround

The woofer and mid-woofer surrounds use a Camelia pattern that helps reduce interference and improve sound dispersion. Their cones have paper pulp sandwich structures for a precise and dynamic bass response, combined with an organic basket designed for airflow.

Silk dome D.A.D. tweeter

The silk dome tweeter provides detailed high-frequency reproduction and contributes to the balanced presentation of the Sonetto G2 speakers.

Camelia midrange speaker

First developed for Suprema, the Camelia midrange speaker has a membrane shaped after the camelia flower. It is left unpainted to preserve sound purity and is mounted on an organic basket. The membrane shape reduces the resonances commonly associated with circular membranes and supports Sonus faber’s Natural Sound signature.

An aluminium phase plug optimises frequency response and clarity both on and off axis. The Camelia midrange speaker is used in the Sonetto VIII, Sonetto V and Sonetto Centre models.

Cork internal volume

The Suprema range also informed the cork chamber design used in the Sonetto V and Sonetto VIII. Its organic form supports the smooth movement of sound waves within the chamber, while the absence of regular walls allows control of sound propagation and resonance. This design improves midrange resolution and Natural Sound quality.
