Sonetto Centre G2

The Sonus Faber Sonetto Centre G2 is a centre speaker from the Sonetto G2 collection, developed with technologies introduced in Suprema and guided by a science-driven approach to sound reproduction. The range includes stand-mounted speakers, floor-standing speakers and wall-mount options, with each model made from high-quality materials and reflecting Sonus faber’s Italian craftsmanship.

CAMELIA MIDRANGE SPEAKER

Originally developed for Suprema, the Camelia midrange speaker uses an unpainted membrane shaped in reference to the camelia flower. This form is mounted on an organic basket and avoids the resonances commonly associated with circular membranes, supporting Sonus faber’s Natural Sound signature. An aluminium phase plug optimises frequency response and clarity both on and off axis. The Camelia midrange is used in the Sonetto VIII, Sonetto V and Sonetto Centre.

Cork internal volume

The Sonetto G2 range also carries forward the cork chamber design developed for Sonus faber’s Suprema speakers. Used in the Sonetto V and Sonetto VIII, this technology is intended to improve midrange resolution and Natural Sound quality.

The chamber has a wholly organic form, allowing sound waves to move through it without interruption. Its lack of regular walls provides acoustic control over sound propagation and resonance.

FLOWER-PATTERNED WOOFER SURROUND

The surrounds of the woofers and mid-woofers use a Camelia flower pattern that helps reduce interference and improve sound dispersion, as well as forming part of the speaker’s visual design. The cones use paper pulp sandwich structures for precise, dynamic bass response, and are matched with an organic basket designed for airflow.

SILK DOME D.A.D. TWEETER

A silk dome tweeter provides detailed high-frequency reproduction and completes the balanced presentation of the Sonetto Centre G2 and other Sonetto G2 speakers.
