Silver 50 8G

The Monitor Audio Silver 50 8G is a compact two-way standmount loudspeaker designed to deliver genuine high-fidelity performance without dominating the listening room.

As part of the latest Silver Series 8G generation, the Silver 50 benefits from a host of technologies developed to improve clarity, detail and overall musical performance. Its latest-generation C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter features a completely redesigned motor system, delivering a smoother and more refined high-frequency response with excellent detail and low distortion.

The bass/midrange driver incorporates Monitor Audio’s Rigid Surface Technology III (RST III), which increases cone rigidity while helping to control unwanted resonances. The result is a clean, controlled midrange together with impressive bass performance from such a compact enclosure.

Monitor Audio’s new Silent Flow Port Technology has also been introduced for Silver Series 8G. Inspired by the aerodynamic characteristics of an owl’s wing, the port has been designed to reduce turbulence and unwanted noise, helping the Silver 50 produce cleaner, deeper and more controlled low frequencies.

Its compact dimensions make the Silver 50 8G particularly well suited to smaller and medium-sized listening rooms, where it can deliver an expansive and detailed sound without requiring the space of a larger floorstanding design.

Beautifully finished and engineered with the attention to detail for which Monitor Audio is known, the Silver 50 8G is equally at home as part of a dedicated two-channel music system or within a high-performance Silver Series home cinema installation.
