Silver 100 8G

The Monitor Audio Silver 100 8G is the largest standmount loudspeaker in the Silver Series and, for the first time, features a true three-way design. Combining substantial bass performance with dedicated midrange and treble drivers, it delivers the scale and authority of a much larger loudspeaker while retaining the flexibility of a standmount design.

At the heart of the Silver 100 8G is a powerful 8-inch C-CAM bass driver featuring Monitor Audio’s latest Rigid Surface Technology III (RST III). The advanced cone geometry increases rigidity and helps control unwanted resonances, producing deep, fast and controlled low frequencies.

Unlike its two-way predecessor, the Silver 100 8G now features a dedicated 3-inch C-CAM RST III midrange driver. By allowing the bass driver to concentrate on low frequencies, the dedicated midrange reduces distortion and improves clarity, integration and dispersion through the critical vocal and instrumental frequencies.

High frequencies are handled by Monitor Audio’s latest 25mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter, delivering an open, detailed and refined treble performance. A redesigned crossover carefully integrates all three drive units for a smooth and cohesive presentation across the frequency range.

Monitor Audio’s Silent Flow Port Technology optimises airflow through the bass reflex system, reducing turbulence and unwanted noise while helping the substantial 8-inch driver deliver impressive low-frequency extension. In-room response reaches down to a claimed 33Hz, remarkable performance for a standmount loudspeaker.

The rigid cabinet also incorporates Monitor Audio’s Through-Bolt driver fixing system to improve structural integrity and reduce unwanted cabinet resonance.

Available in High Gloss Black, Satin White and European Walnut, the Silver 100 8G combines sophisticated contemporary styling with serious high-fidelity performance.

For listeners who want the imaging and flexibility of a standmount speaker without sacrificing bass weight, scale or dynamics, the Silver 100 8G offers an exceptionally capable solution for medium to larger listening rooms.
