Advanced DAC Architecture

The RS451 features the high-end ES9027PRO 32-bit, 8-channel DAC, built around ESS’s HyperStream® architecture for precise, detailed hi-fi performance. Supporting PCM up to 768kHz and DSD512, it handles today’s high-resolution formats with ease, while a range of digital filters allows listeners to tailor the sound to their preferences.

Dedicated Headphone Architecture

Two DAC chips enable completely separate signal paths for pre-out and headphone output, preserving clarity and performance. The dedicated headphone stage uses four individually driven amplifiers for powerful, stable output, including with low-impedance headphones. Isolated power supplies for each channel further reduce interference, delivering a premium headphone experience in a single unit.

Precision Signal Processing

The RS451 incorporates Rose’s Digital Processing Core (DPC) Module, originally developed for the RD160 DAC and refined for the RS151. Digital signals are synchronised to a high-precision Femto clock via I2S, minimising jitter for accurate, natural sound. By isolating the DPC from the main CPU circuitry, unwanted digital interference and distortion are also reduced.

ROSE OS

At its core, the RS451 runs ROSE OS, HiFi Rose’s Android-based platform for music and video. It supports local network playback, CD playback and ripping, internet radio, Spotify Connect, Tidal, Qobuz and Apple Music, alongside Roon Ready and Audirvāna certification. Video playback is also supported through local files, Tidal and ROSE Tube.

The ROSE Audio Engine works alongside ROSE OS to deliver digital audio to the DAC without loss, ensuring precise signal processing. An upgraded 8-core CPU delivers faster data processing, improved graphics and a smoother experience, including support for larger music libraries.

Flexible Connectivity

The RS451’s cleanly organised rear panel provides the essential connections for high-fidelity playback, with carefully spaced ports for easier installation and reduced interference.

Connectivity includes high-quality Bluetooth, USB playback, coaxial input supporting up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM and DSD128, optical input, HDMI eARC, RCA input, plus balanced and unbalanced outputs.

Compact Form, Full Potential

The RS451 combines high-performance audio with a slim, space-efficient design. Its signature aluminium enclosure delivers a premium look and feel, while the new high-resolution, wide-angle 8-inch display provides intuitive control.

The display is complemented by dedicated headphone connections on one side and a precisely machined volume control on the other, creating a balanced, practical front-panel design.
