HiFi Rose

RS130

The HiFi Rose RS130 centres on producing a clean digital signal for any connected DAC, using optical network and USB connectivity alongside a high-precision OCXO 10MHz clock. This reduces noise and jitter in the digital output, supporting a vivid, detailed sonic image with accurate musical timing and deeper access to the sound-field.

The HiFi Rose RS130 network music transport

The HiFi Rose RS130 is designed to provide a clean digital signal to a connected DAC, with a low noise floor and a detailed sonic image. Its design combines optical network connectivity, optical USB connection options and a high-precision OCXO clock. The resulting performance is reflected in the technical measurements recorded for the RS130 under laboratory conditions.

For Ethernet connections, the RS130 can send and receive data through Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceivers. Optical fibre transfers are resistant to noise and provide fast, reliable data transmission over longer distances. The fibre USB 3.0 input uses the same approach, with greater immunity to electromagnetic noise and increased signal stability. HiFi Rose will also soon offer the RSA720 USB Hub with fibre output, providing a way to connect local USB-attached music storage using this developing technology.

High-precision clocking

A high-precision OCXO 10MHz clock is used to improve the accuracy of the RS130’s digital output signal. This clock design is stable across temperature changes and is intended to suppress jitter generation. An external master clock input is also provided, allowing the clock signal to be synchronised between multiple devices.

Optimised Performance

HiFi Rose has selected components and technologies throughout the RS130 signal path so that the transport process is not compromised. The AC power supply, DC power supply and audio-signal processing circuits are physically separated on the circuit board.

The circuitry is supplied by a newly designed 15V DC / 6.67A power supply section, which incorporates high-capacity supercapacitors and a shielded linear power supply. This provides power to the main audio circuitry with sufficient headroom to prevent the supply from operating under stress, while reducing power noise and preserving a natural, faithful presentation of the original signal.

Aluminium construction and touchscreen control

The RS130 has a solid aluminium chassis with integrated heat management. Heat-sinks are fitted to the sides, while ventilation is built into the HiFi Rose logo on the top panel. The top-mounted control buttons have crystal surfaces, and the front panel carries a wide-angle 15.4” 1920*382 resolution LCD capacitive touchscreen for daily operation.
