RPM 10 Carbon

The Pro-Ject RPM 10 Carbon is a high-end turntable with a 10CC Evolution tonearm, a damped platter and a fully decoupled motor system. Its RPM body shape removes unnecessary material, while the premium MDF plinth is packed with metal granulate to add mass and reduce resonance.

The platter has a polished aluminium exterior, internal Thermo-Plastic Elastomer (TPE) damping and a vinyl top-plate. Magnetic decoupling is also incorporated into the sizeable alloy platter. It is mounted on a stainless steel spindle with an inverted ceramic main bearing, providing stable rotation and extra-low rumble.

A perimeter drive belt connects the platter to a heavyweight motor that is fully decoupled from the turntable. The motor stands on its own custom-designed steel base to limit resonance transfer and improve stability. Electronic speed change between 33 and 45rpm is built into the motor, which uses its own AC power generator PCB to provide a clean mains supply and reduce speed variance.

The 10CC Evolution tonearm is pre-installed. Its conical carbon-fibre tube and inverted bearing design combine rigidity with reduced mass. High-quality internal wiring and TPE-damped counterweights make the tonearm suitable for use with almost any high-end pick-up cartridge. The supplied 5-Pin to RCA Connect-IT CC cable is intended to improve signal transmission. The extended 10" tonearm length reduces inner-groove distortion.

The Pro-Ject RPM 10 Carbon has carbon-fibre finishing throughout and is supplied with the Ground-IT Carbon base and a heavy record pluck.
