The Plinius Reference M-10 is a dual mono preamplifier designed to deliver a low-noise, detailed signal to a power amplifier such as the matching Reference A-300. Low-value, audio-grade resistors are used at the beginning of the signal path to minimise noise, while adjustable gain helps reduce distortion and unnecessary colouration.

The Reference M-10 and its remote control follow Plinius’ established styling, with the external design shaped around the function of the equipment. Its signal path is intended to provide a clean, detailed output for high-end audio systems.

Remote Trigger Input & Output

A remote trigger input socket on the rear panel allows the Reference M-10 to integrate with a home theatre system. When connected to a processor or source component providing a remote trigger signal, the preamplifier can switch between HT Bypass and standby modes. In standby, it draws less current and operates at minimum temperature, which can be useful in multi-amplifier and remote installations.

Line Out

The Line Out provides a line-level output carrying the selected source signal. It can feed recording equipment, a headphone amplifier or subwoofer speakers.

Ground Lift Switch

The Ground Lift Switch isolates the signal ground from the main chassis earth. This can help resolve unwanted ground loops or hum caused by duplicate ground paths in some systems.
