Reference A-300
The Plinius Reference A-300, power amplifier, operates in Class A or Class AB, minimising distortion in Class A while reducing power consumption and heat output in Class AB. Its rear-panel ACS switch supports stereo or bridged mono operation through RCA or XLR connections, with automatic change to Class AB after inactivity.

The Plinius Reference A-300 is a high-end power amplifier developed as an evolution of the company’s previous models. Each part of the design was reviewed, evaluated and refined, with changes to the components, specification, layout and interconnection throughout every subsection of the electronics.
Its circuitry uses high-quality, low-noise, audio-grade capacitors, low-noise power components and custom high-capacity power-supply capacitors. The external styling is new while retaining Plinius’ signature aesthetic. The amplifier is designed to provide power and depth alongside purity and clarity, and to make full use of the sophisticated circuitry in the Reference M-10 preamplifier when driving high-end loudspeakers.
The Reference A-300 is the top model in the Plinius range and supports Class A and Class AB operation. Class A minimises distortion, while Class AB reduces power consumption and heat output.
Class A/Class AB operation
Class A minimises distortion for high sonic performance. Class AB reduces power consumption and heat output.
Amplifier Configuration Selector (ACS) switch
The rear-panel ACS switch configures the amplifier for Stereo RCA, Bridged Mono RCA, Stereo XLR or Bridged Mono XLR operation. In Bridged Mono mode, the amplifier uses a true balanced configuration from input to output.
Ecologic Control
After a listening session, the amplifier can switch automatically from Class A to Class AB when unused. This user-adjustable feature is set to 30 minutes during manufacture and can also be switched off.
Remote Trigger Input
When connected to a preamplifier trigger output, the amplifier switches out of Mute and into Class A mode when the preamplifier leaves standby.
Ground Lift Switch
The signal ground can be isolated from the main chassis earth. This can help resolve unwanted ground loops or hum caused by duplicate ground paths in some systems.
WBT and Neutrik Connectors
WBT RCA and Neutrik XLR input connectors are fitted, together with WBT speaker output terminals, providing a low-distortion interface between the amplifier and connected cables.
Auricap Capacitors
Audience AV supply the Auricap XO capacitors used in key areas of the circuit. The Auricap was selected for its clarity and dynamic ability.
Siltech Wiring
Siltech premium 'G7' silver/gold wire connects the components, supporting a clear, fast and detailed presentation of the music signal.
Aluminium Construction
The aluminium construction forms a rigid, non-magnetic housing that eliminates unwanted magnetic fields capable of interfering with sensitive audio signals.
