Reference engineering
The Reference range has been developed by KEF since 1973, with digital technologies used to achieve a high level of audio accuracy. Every pair can be matched within 0.5dB to the laboratory-maintained reference standard.
KEF engineers have continued to develop the Reference design since the first speaker was introduced. Each subsequent version has built on the company’s research into the science of acoustics.
Designed, engineered and handcrafted in the UK
KEF has been creating loudspeakers at its UK base in Maidstone, Kent, since 1961. The Reference range is designed, engineered and handcrafted there as KEF’s flagship hi-fi speaker series. The KEF Reference 4 Meta brings this design and engineering approach to a centre speaker that can also be configured for left or right channel use.
