The PMC prophecyC is a centre-channel loudspeaker designed for immersive home cinema and multichannel music. PMC’s experience with immersive audio comes from its own studios in London, Los Angeles and Nashville, as well as from the many Hollywood productions created using PMC loudspeakers. The prophecy.C applies this understanding of multichannel demands to the home.
At the heart of the design is PMC’s bespoke Advanced Transmission Line bass-loading system, used across the prophecy range. Its more complex configuration allows this centre speaker to operate as a full-range loudspeaker in its own right. The 2 mid/bass drivers are positioned at different points along the long-folded transmission line, helping to minimise coloration through the critical vocal region and keeping dialogue clear, natural and intelligible. This arrangement also improves integration with the treble driver.
The front-venting LaminairX system gives the PMC prophecy.C greater installation flexibility, including positioning close to a wall without compromising performance. Its clarity, scale and immersive presentation are suited to cinematic drama and multichannel music.
