PowerHAUS S6
The Chord Cables PowerHAUS S6 centres on three isolated bus bars, with the earth separated from live and neutral to avoid star wiring and reduce susceptibility to radio-frequency interference. Its non-switched construction uses neither filters nor neon indicators, while the 16-amp IEC accommodates demanding home audio systems.
Virtually every component inside the PowerHAUS S6 has been manufactured specifically for its intended purpose. The S6 is non-switched and uses neither filters nor neon power indicators, which can introduce noise and reduce quality. Its solid aluminium construction also minimises the unwanted effects of microphony.
The PowerHAUS S6 uses specially selected, high-quality, heavy-gauge cables throughout, with sockets chosen for reliability and sound performance. A high-performance 16-amp IEC enables it to accommodate demanding home audio systems.
The S6 is the entry-level Studio model in the six-way PowerHAUS distribution range. It is the result of one of the longest product development phases undertaken by the manufacturer.
The S6 retains many of the core features of the flagship M6. It uses three isolated bus bars, with the earth bus bar positioned as far away as possible from the live and neutral. This arrangement avoids star wiring, which is susceptible to RFI.
The S6 provides a significant improvement over standard mains distribution blocks while remaining more affordable than the flagship M6.
