Powerflux NCF

The Furutech Powerflux NCF uses Furutech’s FI-50 Piezo Ceramic series connectors, with carbon fibre, acetal copolymer and nonmagnetic stainless steel in the connector housings. Its 68-strand Alpha OCC conductors incorporate a full Alpha conductor braid shield to protect against radiated noise, while special-grade PE insulation reduces capacitance.

The Furutech Powerflux NCF is a power cable fitted with Furutech FI-50 Piezo Ceramic series connectors. The Europe version uses an FI-E50(R) Schuko connector, while the FI-50(R) IEC and FI-50M(R) connector housings are made from multiple layers of carbon fibre within a damping and insulating acetal copolymer, surrounded by nonmagnetic stainless steel.

The connector bodies combine nano-sized ceramic particles and powdered carbon as active materials, with nylon and fibreglass also incorporated. This construction is mechanically and electrically nonresonant. The Piezo Ceramic series connectors use Alpha Pure Copper conductors and Furutech’s Earth/Ground Jumper System, covered by US Patent No. 6,669,491. Patent-pending metal cable clamps improve grip and reduce mechanically and electrically induced distortion, while specially engineered pressure plates are also included under patent-pending protection.

The Powerflux cable uses 68-strand Alpha OCC conductors twisted around µ-conductor strands, with special-grade PE insulation or dielectric. The Alpha conductors are fine OCC wire treated with Furutech’s Alpha Cryogenic and Demagnetising process. The dielectric is enclosed by an inner RoHS-compliant flexible PVC sheath containing carbon powder for vibration control, followed by a full Alpha conductor wire braid shield to protect against radiated noise. A further flexible PVC outer sheath and nylon braid jacket complete the cable.

The special high-grade PE insulation or dielectric reduces capacitance. RoHS-compliant flexible PVC sheaths provide additional vibration control, while the full Alpha conductor shield is used to protect the cable from radiated noise.

Furutech developed the FI-50 series connectors by examining each part of signal transfer as part of its Pure Transmission Technology approach. Their connector housings use damping and insulating acetal copolymer, carbon fibre, nonmagnetic stainless steel, nano-sized ceramic particles, powdered carbon, nylon and fibreglass to control mechanical and electrical resonance.
