Power-Line

The Naim Power-Line uses a thermoset resin mains plug case with floating pins to maintain electrical contact with the socket connections. Its 4mm² copper conductors have individual dielectric insulation, while the rubber outer sheath provides mechanical damping and the IEC inlet incorporates floating contacts, clamping and double wiper contacts.

The Naim Power-Line is a mains cable designed to provide a smooth, stable, low-noise power supply. Its construction follows mechanical engineering principles, with precision-manufactured components refined through hundreds of hours of listening-room testing.

The 2m cable uses 4mm2 copper conductors, each with individual dielectric insulation. A rubber outer sheath provides inherent mechanical damping and gives the cable the stiffness needed for dressing during installation.

  • Thermoset resin plug cases with floating pins for consistent electrical contact
  • 4mm2 copper conductors with individual dielectric insulation
  • Rubber outer sheath for inherent mechanical damping
  • 2m length for flexibility during installation

At the mains plug, stripped cable ends are held by specially profiled clamp screws. A die-cast component both decouples and clamps the cable. The IEC inlet plug follows the same approach to decoupling and electrical continuity, with floating contacts, combined decoupling and clamping, double wiper contacts and case eddy current suppression.
