NPX 300

The Naim NPX 300 is a power supply designed to support Naim preamplifiers, streamers and other compatible products. It supplies power separately, allowing the preamplifier to concentrate on controlling the signal, and improves the performance of the NSC 222 preamplifier and streamer.

One NPX 300 can be used with a single preamplifier or source, while 2 NPX 300 power supplies can be connected to one preamplifier or one source. The first can power the digital sections and the second the analogue sections, providing flexibility for future system upgrades.

The NPX 300 uses a new transformer with 6 Naim DR, or Discrete Regulator, power regulators. This arrangement provides cleaner power to the system by reducing noise.

It is designed for use with Naim 200 Series products and is also compatible with the NDX2 and NAC-N 272, using the specific cables.

Naim uses aluminium for its electronic components because delicate audio circuits can be affected by magnetic fields, temperature instability and unwanted vibration. Naim founder Julian Vereker recognised these benefits and chose thick aluminium plates rather than the thin steel sheets used by other manufacturers.
