NAP 500 DR

The Naim NAP 500 DR is a power amplifier developed through 6 years of collaborative work with suppliers of specialist parts. Each unit takes days of dedicated assembly by skilled technicians in Salisbury, combining detailed construction with the amplifier’s high power output.

Development of Naim’s Statement amplification system took 10 years and drew on the company’s knowledge and expertise, resulting in several technology developments. Two of these technologies have since been introduced into the core range of Naim power amplifiers.

The NAP 500 DR uses the NA009 transistors first introduced in Statement. This component was developed over more than 1 year in partnership with a specialist semiconductor manufacturer, with the aim of achieving high sound quality. It also incorporates Naim Audio DR, or Discrete Regulator, technology from Statement, providing a smooth and stable power supply for the audio electronics.

These technologies are combined with further changes to the layout and components. The NAP 500 DR is designed to deliver the musical pace, rhythm and timing associated with the original NAP 500, which became popular with music lovers.
