The McIntosh MT10 is a ready-to-play turntable designed for high-performance LP playback with minimal setup. Its classic McIntosh glass front panel styling is combined with factory-preset tracking force, anti-skate and cartridge position, allowing the turntable to be used shortly after unpacking.
The custom tonearm uses a specially damped, rigid Dural-Aluminium arm tube, gimballed in 2 sapphire bearings for horizontal movement and 2 ceramic bearings for vertical movement. This arrangement is designed to provide low friction. The lightweight, rigid arm is matched to the included 0.5mV medium-weight moving coil cartridge, which has an ebony body and elliptical stylus.
Ready To Play
Tracking force, anti-skate and cartridge position are preset at the factory. The MT10 can be used moments after unpacking.
Matched Tone Arm and Cartridge
The specially damped Dural-Aluminium arm tube provides the required combination of low weight and rigidity for the custom medium-weight moving coil cartridge.
Massive Platter
The platter is CNC machined from a special silicone acrylic material. It weighs 12 pounds and is 2.5 inches thick, providing resistance to bass-robbing resonances.
Magnetic Air Damped Bearing
The MT10 platter rotates on a special magnetic bearing and is suspended on a cushion of air for low-friction performance.
