The McIntosh MI128 is an 8-channel digital amplifier for distributed audio, home theatre and stereo listening. Its closed-loop digital switching amplifiers are paired with robust power supplies and deliver 120 Watts into 8 Ohm speakers or 150 Watts into 4 Ohm speakers.
Designed for installation, the MI128 is 2U rack mountable using the included removable mounting ears. The ears can be removed for non-rack installations. Its efficient Class D amplifier design does not require cooling fans to maintain nominal operating temperature.
Each channel has a multi-colour LED status indicator on the front panel. The rear panel provides individual unbalanced inputs, 2-pole Phoenix-style push-in speaker terminals and volume controls for balancing levels. Two digital audio inputs, either coaxial or optical, can be bussed, while channel summing circuits support mono signal distribution.
