Mediterraneo X

The Gold Note Mediterraneo X is a belt-driven turntable combining a solid aluminium structure with a lower plinth made from solid Italian wood. Its proprietary control system uses a Quadral-Core microcontroller with an audio converter to control the 12V synchronous motor without vibrations or speed variations.

Motor speed and torque are adjusted through the touchscreen display to suit the type of LP and music being played. The system provides electronic control of the 33⅓rpm and 45rpm speeds, with all settings stored in memory. A timer records cartridge usage, allowing stylus wear to be monitored.

The plinth consists of 3 components: a large table machined from solid aluminium, a 3 mm stainless steel platter and the lower solid Italian wood plinth. The wood is formed using the catenary curve, a shape associated with the work of Michelangelo and Galileo that Gold Note applies to its turntables for structural rigidity and consistent mass and dimensions. This construction supports detailed, dynamic reproduction.

The 7 kg platter has a composite construction incorporating POM to minimise vibrations, providing stability and precise rotation speed. Mediterraneo X has 3 height-adjustable feet made from anodised aluminium, while the rear panel carries high-quality RCA connectors. A B7 Ceramic X tonearm and dedicated phono cable is supplied.
