The McIntosh MC152 is a stereo power amplifier producing 150 watts per channel into 2, 4 or 8 ohms. It provides balanced and unbalanced inputs for connection to a preamplifier, making it suitable for modest-sized stereo systems where higher power output is not required, as well as home theatres where it can power surround channels.
With a slim 6” tall chassis, the MC152 occupies less space than larger McIntosh amplifiers. It is the smallest current McIntosh solid-state stereo amplifier by power output, while retaining the technology used across the amplifier range. McIntosh output Autoformers deliver the full power to each speaker regardless of impedance, and Power Guard® circuitry prevents clipping that could damage speakers. Patented speaker binding posts provide a secure connection for speaker cables.
The McIntosh MC152 has a black glass front panel, silver end caps and 2 large blue watt meters with clear displays. These meters are recognised globally as a symbol of quality audio.
