The M21 Platinum Series provides 3 independent, user-selectable digital-to-analogue conversion paths. Delta-sigma and ladder DACs handle PCM conversion, while true direct DSD is available for DSD playback.

The M21’s architecture allows you to select and evaluate 3 independent conversion paths: 24-bit delta-sigma, 20-bit ladder DAC and true 1-bit DSD for DSD content. Separate conversion paths provide a flexible platform for listening to music and comparing the characteristics of each approach.

The M21 connects to your network via wired Ethernet. Once detected, it is recognised as a DLNA device and operates as a media renderer, providing data transmission over long distances without signal loss or degradation. The server can therefore be located anywhere on the network and operated remotely, helping to maintain a less cluttered listening environment.

The M21 uses precise analogue gain control for its direct DSD function and amplification output. A true hard-wired bypass analogue attenuator is fitted. Setting this control to 0 dB allows the M21 to be connected directly to an external preamplifier.
