The AudioQuest Lone Ranger Full-Range 3m uses separate round constructions for its positive and negative conductors, making the cable more manageable while increasing conductor metal over its predecessors. Its polypropylene dielectric and 72v Dielectric-Bias System reduce dielectric noise and extend noise dissipation across a wide band.

Slightly smaller than Brave Heart, at 11.6mm OD compared with 14.1mm OD per polarity, Lone Ranger uses the same construction, with positive and negative sides housed separately. It offers a substantial sonic improvement over its predecessor, with increased resolution and presence, natural dynamic ease and an authoritative overall presentation.
Like its larger sibling, Lone Ranger narrows the gap between Folk Hero and Mythical-level sound quality. This is achieved through many of the same upgrades that contribute to Brave Heart’s performance.
- Almost one-third more PSC+ Copper provides lower impedance, a smoother frequency response regardless of the speaker impedance curve, and a more muscular presentation.
- A superior polypropylene dielectric, or insulation, linearises and extends the bandwidth of noise dissipation.
- The optimised dielectric reduces unfocused, harsh-sounding distortion caused by distributed capacitance.
- Thicker Carbon-Loaded PVC, an additional Graphene layer and 4% silver shield drain wires further improve RF-Noise Dissipation.
Permanent Molecular Optimisation, or PMO, does not replace the aural benefit of playing music over extended periods. Music, as a modulated AC signal, slightly stresses the dielectric and connection interfaces, which benefits cable performance.
PMO is a controlled, extreme stressing of the materials, a near-death experience for them, which significantly and permanently, unlike running-in, helps the cable stay out of the music’s way.
These features are complemented by several established AudioQuest design elements:
- Solid conductors prevent strand interaction.
- Direction-controlled conductors efficiently drain RF noise away from vulnerable amplifier circuitry, towards where it will cause the least or no harm.
- ZERO-Tech eliminates characteristic-impedance mismatches between the cable and the attached source and load, allowing power to flow with minimal obstruction and presenting sound and music with ease.
- The constant DC potential of AudioQuest’s 72v Dielectric-Bias System, unlike the AC stressing of running-in and PMO, polarises the dielectric, or insulation. This significantly reduces Dielectric-Noise, caused by energy stored in the dielectric being released out of time and at other frequencies. DBS also linearises Radio-Frequency Noise-Dissipation, making it more consistent across a wide band.
- There is no metal in the cable dressings or plug barrels, which could reradiate and capacitively couple RF-Noise into the cable. Cold-welded, gas-tight connections are made to Red Copper spades or bananas.
