The Weiss INT204 is a high-performance USB audio interface designed to bridge the gap between computer-based music playback and high-quality digital-to-analogue converters that do not feature a USB input.
The INT204 accepts asynchronous USB audio from a computer and converts it to AES/EBU or S/PDIF, with digital outputs available on XLR, RCA and BNC connections. Its internal low-jitter clocking helps maintain accurate timing, while separate USB and external power supplies allow the input and output sections to remain galvanically isolated, helping to reduce unwanted electrical noise.
High-resolution PCM formats are supported up to 384kHz on the USB input, together with DSD64 and DSD128. DSD material can be converted internally to PCM at selectable sample rates and word lengths, allowing compatible DSD files to be played through conventional PCM DACs.
The INT204 can also provide digital-domain volume control when used with the optional remote handset, adding further flexibility when integrating a computer source into a high-end audio system.
Compact, purpose-built and engineered in Switzerland, Weiss INT204 provides a refined solution for listeners who want to integrate USB-based digital playback with an existing high-quality DAC while preserving signal integrity and flexibility.
