The Plinius Hiato is an integrated amplifier for music systems requiring controlled power alongside the functions of a preamplifier. It is designed to handle complex musical pieces, with detailed treble and control across the bass and midrange.
Its rear panel provides 4 line level inputs and a user-adjustable phono input, with high-quality WBT RCA connectors used for all line level and phono connections. Balanced XLR inputs are provided for CD and Line 1. The Hiato also includes RCA and XLR home theatre bypass inputs, a remote IR input, and 12V input and output triggers. The phono stage is optional.
Four pairs of output connectors support bi-wired speaker applications, while the line level output can be used for archiving and the pre-out for bi-amping. A discreet 3.5mm front-panel jack allows connection of portable media devices. The full-function remote control also operates Plinius CD players.
