The Fyne Audio F702 is a midsized floorstanding loudspeaker designed for use in mid to large-sized rooms. It combines a 200mm IsoFlare point-source driver with a 200mm multi-fibre bass driver in a twin-cavity tuned cabinet. A BassTrax LF diffuser is integrated into the down-firing port.
The F702 is designed to produce articulate, powerful sound with dynamic performance at real-world volume levels. Its technologies include IsoFlare, BassTrax Tractrix diffuser and FyneFlute surround design.
ISOFLARE TM
Fyne Audio’s IsoFlare TM driver is a point-source system in which the bass and midrange driver share a common centre with the high-frequency unit. The design radiates energy isotropically with constant directivity, following the flare of the driver cone. Sound is produced as if it were coming from a single point in space, with stereo imaging maintained even when listening off axis.
BASSTRAX TM TRACTRIX DIFFUSER SYSTEM
The BassTrax TM Tractrix profile maintains a 90-degree angle at each intersection of the expanding wavefront, helping to avoid reflections. This arrangement makes the loudspeaker less critical of room positioning.
FYNEFLUTE TM SURROUND TECHNOLOGY
Fyne Audio developed the FyneFlute TM surround design to improve the detrimental effect that standard roll-rubber surrounds can have on driver performance.
