F501SP
The Fyne Audio F501SP draws on driver, crossover and bass-tuning expertise from Fyne Audio’s higher series, with an IsoFlare driver and magnesium dome HF diaphragm for controlled high-frequency reproduction. Its BassTrax diffuser integrates low-frequency energy into the room, making placement less critical, while the hand-built cabinet uses higher-density European boards.

The Fyne Audio F501SP is a floorstanding loudspeaker developed by Technical Director Dr Paul Mills and hand built at Fyne Audio’s UK factory. The F501SP and F502SP bring driver, crossover and bass-tuning techniques from the F700 and F1 series to the more compact F500 series cabinet design, with the aim of providing these developments in more affordable loudspeakers.
The IsoFlare drivers are derived from the F700 series and use a magnesium dome HF diaphragm for a controlled, smooth high-frequency response. Their motors incorporate Fyne Audio’s Flux Focussing System, which creates high flux density in the voice coils for tighter bass and higher LF sensitivity. The multi-fibre cone and FyneFlute surround use the same materials as the IsoFlare drivers in the F700 series.
Low-frequency performance is supported by Fyne Audio’s BassTrax LF diffuser system. Its Tractrix-profile diffuser cone is integrated into an aluminium sandwich plinth, helping to distribute LF energy into the room and reducing sensitivity to positioning. The F501SP also has a hand-built crossover using selected components, silver-plated Van Den Hul wiring and chassis earthing through a 5-terminal connection panel.
Cabinet construction uses European-sourced, higher-density cabinet boards, with 3 complementary damping materials applied inside. Together with the BassTrax porting system, this supports smooth bass reproduction and low distortion. The design is intended to provide improvements across the frequency range, including the retrieval of subtle details and instrumental nuances in chamber music as well as the bass energy of rock recordings.
Fyne Audio builds and pair matches each F501SP in its UK factory. Finish options include Piano Gloss Walnut veneer. Each pair is supplied with machined spikes, knurled lock nuts, aluminium floor cups and Fyne Audio’s solid aluminium levelling tool.
The result is a loudspeaker with tighter bass, fluid high-frequency reproduction and point-source imaging.
