F1 Fractal 1m pair

The Townshend F1 Fractal 1m pair interconnects are hand-built analogue cables using the Fractal-Wire proprietary treatment process, developed from Townshend Audio’s Enhanced Deep Cryogenic Treatment (EDCT). The Fractal-Wire treatment was created to improve the Isolda EDCT process, which is also applied to these cables.

Each cable uses a very thin polyester-coated enamelled copper signal conductor, spiralled around a much thicker bare copper ground conductor. The signal and return conductors are tightly spaced, preventing external electric fields from entering. This arrangement completely stops hum in valve amplifier systems and blocks radio frequency interference (RFI).

The signal conductors make only occasional contact with the inner of 2 concentric PTFE tubes, keeping degradation caused by dielectric mass to a minimum. The PTFE tubes are housed inside a clear PVC outer. Fractal-Wire is terminated with Neutrik Profi RCA phono plugs featuring a spring-loaded ground collar.

The balanced version uses 2 strands of ultra-fine enamelled copper conductor spiralled together with a parallel drain wire, without shielding, and is terminated with Neutrik XLR plugs. Townshend F1 Fractal is supplied here as a 1m pair. Please ask about other lengths.
