Evo 3 Premier Mains Cable

The IsoTek Evo 3 Premier is a high-end power cable developed following discussions with manufacturers of audio equipment priced in the 10,000s of pounds. It is designed to replace the poor-quality power cords often supplied with such equipment, which can constrain performance. The cable uses carefully selected materials and a construction intended to provide electrical performance and mechanical integrity over time.

The conductors use a parallel arrangement with a slight rotational twist, an established method for rejecting radio-frequency interference (RFI) and electromagnetic interference (EMI). Silver-plated 99.9999% OFC conductors combine high-purity copper with silver, providing enhanced conductivity and strong electrical properties. Compared with solid-core conductors, they are less likely to fracture or degrade over time.

A Teflon FEP dielectric, or insulation, surrounds the conductors. Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene is chemically inert and has a low dielectric constant across a wide frequency range. It also has a high resistance to stress cracking and a low coefficient of friction, making it suitable for temperature safety and electrical insulation.

Cotton filler provides internal strength and reduces microphony. It also has strong dielectric properties as a solid material. A paper wrap secures the cable construction before the flexible PVC jacket is applied. Together, the paper and cotton create a buffer with the PVC to maintain the dielectric properties. PVC forms the outer jacket, providing flexibility and mechanical strength.

IsoTek Evo 3 Premier is terminated with IsoTek bespoke Audiophile-grade moulded connectors made from solid OFC, with 24ct gold-plated conductors. The gold plating is less prone to tarnishing.

The combination of high-quality materials and the internal construction is intended to provide consistent power cable performance and mechanical integrity without compromising the specification of the parts used.
