Evo 3 Elite 2m

The IsoTek Evo 3 Elite 2m uses a 7-core geometry with 3 live conductors, 3 neutral conductors and a central earth. Double shielding with an active OFC braid, Mylar foil and an earthed OFC shield reduces RFI and EMI pollution, while 24ct gold-plated solid OFC connectors are less prone to tarnishing.

The IsoTek Evo 3 Elite 2m is a high-end mains power cable using a 7-core geometry, high-purity copper conductors and FEP dielectric insulation. Double shielding, including an active OFC braid, is used to reduce RFI and EMI pollution.

Seven silver-plated 99.99999% OFC conductors are arranged in parallel with a slight rotational twist. Three conductors carry live, 3 carry neutral and 1 central conductor provides earth. This construction forms the first line of defence against RFI and EMI rejection. A Mylar foil wrap and earthed OFC shield provide further RFI rejection, while the 12mm PVC outer jacket combines flexibility with mechanical strength.

The Teflon FEP dielectric is chemically inert and has a very low dielectric constant across a wide frequency range. Cotton filler provides internal strength and reduces microphony. The Elite cable is terminated with IsoTek bespoke Audiophile grade connectors made from solid OFC, with 24ct gold-plated conductors that are less prone to tarnish.

The IsoTek Evo 3 Elite is rated at 20A and is offered with UK, EU, US and AU to C7, C15 and C19 termination options. The standard length is 2.0M, with custom lengths available.

CONSTRUCTION: The conductors use a parallel construction with a slight rotational twist, an established technique for RFI and EMI rejection.

  • A) Conductors: Silver-plated 99.999999% OFC conductors provide high purity and enhanced conductivity. They are less likely to fracture or degrade over time. Silver is a good conductor, and its combination with high-purity copper provides specific electrical properties.
  • B) Dielectric: Teflon FEP insulation is chemically inert and has a very low dielectric constant across a wide frequency range. FEP has a high resistance to stress cracking and a low coefficient of friction. It is used for temperature safety and electrical insulation.
  • C) Filler: Cotton filler provides internal strength and reduces microphony. Cotton also has dielectric properties associated with a solid material.
  • D) Wrap: Mylar wrap secures the construction and provides a barrier shield before the flexible PVC jacket is applied. The Mylar and cotton form a buffer with the PVC to maintain the dielectric properties.
  • E) Shield: An earthed OFC shield provides RFI rejection and prevents common-mode noise from affecting the live and neutral conductors.
  • F) Jacket: PVC forms the outer jacket, providing flexibility and mechanical strength.

TERMINATION: IsoTek’s bespoke Audiophile grade connectors are made from solid OFC with 24ct gold-plated conductors. They are less prone to tarnish.
