Epic Streaming
The Chord Cables Epic Streaming 1m connects digital audio streaming components using silver-plated conductors, high-speed insulation and separate-pair and overall shielding. Its high-precision RJ45 connector has gold-plated contacts modified for direct soldering, while The Chord Company’s Tuned ARAY conductor geometry supports a musically coherent, involving and detailed sound.
The Epic streaming cable is designed for digital audio streaming components. It is not an Ethernet cable, as it uses high quality silver-plated conductors, high speed insulation materials, high density separate pair shielding, high density overall shielding and The Chord Company’s Tuned ARAY conductor geometry.
It uses a high precision RJ45 connector with gold-plated contacts, modified so that the conductors can be soldered directly to the contact pins. The Chord Company began experimenting with streaming cables soon after streamers first became available, with early trials leading to the adaptation of the Tuned ARAY conductor concept for this application.
The Epic streaming cable is intended to support a musically coherent, involving and detailed sound. Its development was based on listening to streaming systems and their cables.
