The Chord Cables Epic RCA 1m pair uses Tuned ARAY conductor geometry with direct silver-plated VEE 3 RCA plugs, presenting instrument timbres with greater clarity while retaining detail and dynamics. Heavy-gauge, silver-plated, multi-strand, oxygen-free copper conductors sit within increased PTFE insulation, a PVC jacket and nylon braid.
Epic is a Tuned ARAY cable fitted with direct silver-plated VEE 3 RCA plugs. It uses heavy-gauge, silver-plated, multi-strand, oxygen-free copper conductors, with an increased volume of PTFE insulation around each conductor. These are enclosed in a specially selected PVC jacket to minimise mechanical noise, then protected by a nylon braid. The Tuned ARAY conductor geometry allows the cable to carry more detail and dynamics, while presenting the individual timbres of instruments with greater clarity. It also maintains the coherence required for a musical and involving sound.
Many mid-price CD players, streamers and DACs are known for producing a high level of detail. Used with a mid-price CD player, a Shawline sounds more than capable, but changing to an Epic reveals an increase in detail and coherence. The analytical character remains available, alongside greater musical involvement.
