The McIntosh DS200 Streaming DAC is designed as a complete digital hub for a high-end audio system, combining network streaming, Bluetooth, multiple digital inputs and reference-quality digital-to-analogue conversion in a classic McIntosh chassis.
Streaming support includes Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, Qobuz Connect, Spotify Connect and TIDAL Connect, while the DS200 is also Roon Ready. Bluetooth 5.0 provides further flexibility for wireless playback, with support for aptX, aptX HD and aptX Low Latency.
At its heart is an 8-channel, 32-bit/384kHz Quad Balanced DAC capable of handling high-resolution PCM and DSD material. USB playback supports PCM up to 384kHz, DSD512 and DXD, while additional connectivity includes two coaxial inputs, two optical inputs, AES/EBU, MCT and HDMI ARC.
Balanced and unbalanced analogue outputs can be configured for fixed or variable level operation, allowing the DS200 to connect to an existing amplifier or operate directly as the preamplifier in an all-digital system. McIntosh Power Control, Data, IR and RS232 connections also allow straightforward integration with wider McIntosh systems and custom installations.
Finished with McIntosh’s black glass front panel, illuminated logo, rotary controls and machined aluminium end caps, the DS200 brings modern streaming convenience to a traditional McIntosh system without compromising its familiar styling or build quality.
