DS-10 EVO Line

A CONTEMPORARY DIGITAL AUDIO SOURCE

The DS-10 EVO combines a streaming DAC, line preamplifier and headphone amplifier in a single component. Its connectivity includes high-definition Bluetooth and a dedicated headphone output, while support for high-resolution formats includes MQA and DSD up to DSD512. All of this is housed in a compact, rigid aluminium chassis, making the DS-10 EVO suitable for integration into a modern high-end audio system.

DAC AND NETWORK STREAMER

The DS-10 EVO supports streaming through Roon, Airplay, Tidal, MQA, Qobuz, Spotify, vTuner and Deezer. It can also access digital music stored locally on a NAS or USB flash drive, with control provided by the GN Control App for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. Tidal Connect allows direct streaming from Tidal. The DS-10 EVO is Roon Ready and compatible with UPnP/DLNA services and Airplay 2.0. Network connection is available through Wi-Fi or the Ethernet port, with outputs for connection to a power amplifier or active speakers.

LINE PREAMPLIFIER AND HEADPHONE AMPLIFIER

An on/off switchable high-end analogue preamplifier stage allows analogue volume control from the remote, SKC or GN Control app. The DS-10 EVO also includes a professional 6.3mm headphone output with High and Low sensitivity settings, using proprietary technology developed for headphone use. Its additional analogue input allows the LINE model to be used between the Gold Note PH-10 phono stage and PA-10 power amplifier.

DIGITAL CHAMELEON AUDIOPHILE DAC

The DS-10 EVO provides 3 selectable DAC profiles, allowing its operation to be adjusted for different music. These settings affect the deemphasis, low-pass digital filters and DSD filter without altering the audio signal. Profiles can be changed during playback through the menu on the TFT display. This provides direct control over the DAC’s behaviour while music is playing.

A CLEAR AND INTUITIVE USER INTERFACE

The DS-10 EVO displays its available functions on a 2.8” TFT screen and can be controlled using the SKC, the Gold Note remote control or the GN Control app. The app also shows track information and the actual resolution format on a smartphone or tablet. Compared with the previous DS-10, the DS-10 EVO has a revised interface and supports firmware updates over the air.
