Dragon XLR 1m

The AudioQuest Dragon XLR 1m uses Solid Perfect-Surface Silver conductors and ZERO-Tech construction to avoid characteristic-impedance mismatch and maintain consistent radio-frequency noise dissipation across the frequency range. Its Level 7 system incorporates a carbon and graphene mesh network, direction-controlled conductors and 72v DBS, while the included Dual-72v DBS pack maintains signal-conductor isolation. ** Please call for all available configurations **

Solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) Conductors
Solid conductors avoid electrical and magnetic interaction between strands. PSS solid silver reduces distortion associated with grain boundaries and supports linear RF noise dissipation.

Level 7 Noise-Dissipation: PSS Drains, ZERO-Tech, 72v DBS, Carbon/Graphene Mesh-Network and Direction-Controlled Conductors
Radio-frequency noise from cellular networks, WiFi and satellites is widespread. AudioQuest’s Level 7 Linear Noise-Dissipation system combines a carbon and graphene resistive mesh-network, direction-controlled conductors, 72v DBS and solid PSS drain wires to minimise the masking effects of RF noise.

ZERO-Tech, with No Characteristic Impedance, for Linear, Wide-Bandwidth Noise-Dissipation
Characteristic-impedance mismatch effects between a cable and its source and load circuits are avoided by preventing the cable from having a characteristic impedance. ZERO-Tech removes the electrostatic field between the high and low signal conductors, providing consistent RF noise dissipation across the frequency range and uncompressed transients. A Dual-72v DBS pack is included for Pegasus, ThunderBird, FireBird and Dragon XLR cables, maintaining the complete isolation between the signal conductors required by ZERO-Tech.

72v Dielectric-Bias System (DBS)
Insulation acts as a dielectric and can function as a shunt filter. Biasing reduces dielectric noise and linearises the filter, improving wide-bandwidth dissipation of induced RF noise.

FEP Air-Tube Insulation
The positive conductors have minimal contact with their FEP insulation, which provides a low dielectric constant and minimal signal interference. The negative conductors use intentionally lossy insulation, with no air and no FEP, to support the different function of the negative connection.

Copper-Plated RF-Draining Barrels
Grounded, copper-plated barrels improve noise dissipation by preventing capacitive coupling of RF from the metal barrel to the conductors.

Hanging-Silver over Red Copper Plugs
The plugs use Hanging-Silver, applied directly over high-purity Red Copper rather than tumbled silver, to provide the signal connection.

All Mythical Creature interconnects are available with custom-made RCA and XLR terminations.

Available in sizes from 0.5m to 6m. Please call with your requirements.
