Solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) Conductors Solid conductors prevent electrical and magnetic interaction between strands. PSS solid silver minimises distortion caused by grain boundaries and maximises linear RF noise dissipation.

Level 7 Noise-Dissipation: PSS Drains, ZERO-Tech, 72v DBS, Carbon/Graphene Mesh-Network and Direction-Controlled Conductors Radio-frequency noise from cellular networks, WiFi and satellites is widespread. AudioQuest’s Level 7 linear noise dissipation combines a carbon and graphene resistive mesh-network, direction-controlled conductors, 72v DBS and PSS solid-silver drain wires to minimise the masking effects of RF noise.

ZERO-Tech, with no characteristic impedance, for linear, wide-bandwidth noise dissipation Characteristic-impedance mismatch effects between a cable and its connected source and load circuits can be avoided by preventing the cable from having a characteristic impedance. ZERO-Tech eliminates the electrostatic field between the cable’s high and low signal conductors, enabling linear RF noise dissipation across the frequency range and uncompressed transients. To maintain complete isolation between the signal conductors, a dual-72v DBS pack is included with Pegasus, ThunderBird, FireBird and Dragon XLR cables.

72v Dielectric-Bias System (DBS) Insulation is also a dielectric and can act as a shunt filter. Biasing minimises dielectric noise and linearises the filter, improving wide-bandwidth dissipation of induced RF noise.

FEP Air-Tube Insulation The positive conductors have almost no contact with their FEP insulation, which has a high dielectric constant and minimal signal interference. The negative conductors use intentionally lossy insulation, with no air and no FEP, to support the different function of the negative connection.

Copper-Plated RF-Draining Barrels Grounded copper-plated barrels maximise noise dissipation by preventing the metal barrel from capacitively coupling RF to the conductors.

Hanging-Silver over Red Copper Plugs The plugs use hanging silver, rather than tumbled silver, directly over high-purity red copper to provide signal transfer.
