Dragon Constant Current (Source)
The AudioQuest Dragon Constant Current (Source), an AC power cable, uses Solid Perfect-Surface Silver conductors and a 72v Dielectric-Bias System for source components with a constant current draw. ZERO-Tech supports uncompressed current transfer, while RF/ND-Tech reduces induced radio-frequency noise reaching sensitive audio and video circuits.

The AudioQuest Dragon Constant Current (Source) is an AC power cable for audio and video source components with a constant or fixed current draw.
It uses solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) conductors. Solid conductors prevent electrical and magnetic interaction between strands, while PSS solid silver reduces distortion caused by grain boundaries and maximises linear RF noise dissipation.
ZERO-Tech combines low DC resistance with zero characteristic impedance. Characteristic impedance is important for performance, as well as the low DC resistance required by high-current AC cables. This design delivers uncompressed, high-current transients on demand rather than constricting or compressing an audio-induced transient.
RF/ND-Tech addresses radio-frequency noise carried by AC ground wires. Although an AC ground wire provides protection against an electrical short circuit, it can also act as an antenna and pick up RF noise. This noise can bypass a component’s power supply and couple directly into sensitive audio and video circuits. AudioQuest’s RF/ND-Tech uses a common-mode phase-cancelling array alongside proprietary dielectric materials for additional differential linear filtering, reducing distortion and providing noise dissipation across a wide range of radio frequencies. Directionality
Drawn metal strands and conductors have a non-symmetrical grain structure, which gives them a directional characteristic. AudioQuest controls the resulting RF impedance variation so that noise is drained away from areas where it could cause distortion. The correct direction is determined by listening to each batch of metal conductors used in AudioQuest audio cables. Where applicable, arrows are marked on the connectors. On most AudioQuest cable models, these arrows indicate both the direction that optimises metal directionality for noise dissipation and the non-symmetrical attachment of the shield and ground for full-system performance.
