Dragon BiWire Combo 3m
The AudioQuest Dragon BiWire Combo 3m joins Dragon ZERO and Dragon BASS cables at the amplifier end, offering a convenient bi-wiring arrangement for compatible loudspeakers. Solid Perfect-Surface Silver conductors, 72v Dielectric-Bias System and RF/ND-Tech support unrestricted current transfer while reducing unwanted radio-frequency noise across the cable’s bandwidth.

Solid Perfect-Surface-Silver (PSS) Conductors
Perfect-Surface Technology applied to extreme-purity silver is intended to provide clarity and dynamic contrast. Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) is AudioQuest’s highest-quality metal. Solid conductors prevent interaction between strands, which is a significant source of cable distortion. The very high purity of PSS reduces distortion associated with the grain boundaries present in metal conductors, reducing harshness and increasing clarity compared with OFHC, OCC, 8N and other copper conductors.
Carbon-Based Linearized Noise-Dissipation System (NDS)
AudioQuest’s Linearized Noise-Dissipation System combines multiple shields with a carbon-based linearised resistive network that converts much of the noise into heat. The system is linearised across an extremely wide bandwidth, rather than being effective only at selected frequencies. The remaining unwanted energy is directed away from sensitive amplifier circuits through directionally controlled signal and shield conductors.
ZERO-Tech
ZERO-Tech removes fixed characteristic impedance from the cable, eliminating characteristic-impedance mismatches between the cable and the connected source and load. It does this by removing interaction between the insulation, or dielectric, and the conductors. This allows uncompressed current transfer, leaving transient current unrestricted and maintaining linearised RF Noise-Dissipation from octave to octave.
RF/ND-Tech (BASS CABLE ONLY)
A cable’s ground leads are part of a component’s signal transmission, but they can also act as antennas and pick up induced radio-frequency noise. This parasitic signal can couple directly into sensitive audio and video circuits. AudioQuest’s RF-on-ground Noise-Dissipation, or RF/ND-Tech, reduces the resulting distortion and signal masking across a wide range of radio frequencies. Its circuit topology uses a common-mode phase-cancelling array to provide linear Noise-Dissipation along the cable’s full length, covered by US Patent # 8,988,168.
72v Dielectric-Bias System (DBS) with Level-X RF Noise-Trap
The insulation also acts as a dielectric and shunt filter. Biasing the dielectric linearises this filter, improving the cable’s ability to dissipate induced noise across a wide bandwidth. The Level-X Noise-Trap in the DBS pack draws RF noise out of the cable, further reducing unwanted behaviour in connected audio circuits.
Mythical Creature Cold-Welded Terminations
Mythical Creature cables are cold-welded to AudioQuest’s highly pure Red Copper Spades or Bananas. The bare copper is suspended in a vat of pure silver rather than tumbled in a lower-grade solution. AudioQuest speaker breakouts and plug casings are non-metallic to avoid inducing RF noise into the conductors.
Dragon Bi-Wiring
Where possible, separate cables for the treble and bass sections of a speaker can reduce distortion. Bi-Wiring keeps the larger magnetic fields associated with bass energy away from the treble cable, giving higher frequencies a less magnetically disturbed path.
AudioQuest’s RF/ND-Tech, a patented RF-cancelling ground-noise-dissipation system, draws RF energy away from the amplifier’s output. When implemented correctly, Bi-Wiring can improve performance without increasing cost. With RF/ND-Tech, the benefit of Bi-Wiring is increased. Because RF/ND-Tech is highly effective, BASS model cables are intended for 10KHz and below. Do not use a BASS cable full-range or for treble.
Dragon BASS cable is suited to use with Dragon ZERO. A Bi-Wire COMBO combines BASS and ZERO cables at the amplifier and is generally the most convenient arrangement. For Tri-Wiring, use BASS cables on the midrange and bass inputs.
Caution: Do not Bi-Wire with 2 ZERO cables. ZERO cables connected in parallel can create a high-frequency resonant peak, or ringing, resulting in poor sound. Use 1 ZERO cable with 1 BASS cable, whether or not they are joined as a COMBO. The second option is a single ZERO cable with AQ Bi-Wire jumpers.
