Donatello Red

The Donatello MC cartridge was designed around a solid, machined aluminium body that remains light enough for use with every tonearm. Following 2 years of continuous research, the result is a sophisticated, computer-designed body made from machined aluminium.

Weighing only 7gram, it is carefully damped to support the cantilever’s tracking ability.
Donatello’s ultra-rigid cantilever carries a high-precision Micro Elliptical diamond, developed exclusively in collaboration with Adamant-Namiki for high-quality audio performance.

As with the flagship cartridges, Donatello’s diamond tip is mechanically inserted and secured into a long, stiffened aluminium cantilever. This is held in a special titanium telescopic seat to increase structural rigidity.

Like GN’s top-class models, Donatello has long, gold-plated pin connectors designed to connect securely with tonearm clips. This reduces energy dispersion and improves grounding, providing a quiet background for the finer details in your music.

Donatello Red has high internal impedance and gain levels, allowing it to be matched easily with an MM phono preamplifier. Donatello Gold can be driven correctly by MC preamplifiers without the need for step-up transformers.
