The Pro-Ject Debut PRO B is a refined belt-drive turntable featuring a carbon-aluminium tonearm, precision aluminium platter and Pick it PRO Balanced MM cartridge. Its mini-XLR output enables a true balanced phono connection, delivering low-noise, detailed and highly engaging vinyl playback.
The Pro-Ject Debut PRO B builds on the proven Debut PRO platform with the addition of true balanced connectivity, bringing technology normally associated with more expensive turntables into a highly accessible audiophile design.
At its heart is Pro-Ject's 8.6-inch one-piece carbon-aluminium tonearm. The carbon outer structure provides excellent rigidity, while the aluminium inner tube adds effective damping, creating a well-controlled arm suitable for a wide range of moving magnet and moving coil cartridges. Both VTA and azimuth are adjustable, allowing accurate setup and straightforward cartridge upgrades.
The supplied Pick it PRO Balanced moving magnet cartridge is specially configured to support Pro-Ject's True Balanced connection system. Combined with the rear mini-XLR phono output and a compatible balanced phono stage, this allows the cartridge's naturally balanced signal to be maintained through the phono connection, helping reduce interference and unwanted noise.
A precision die-cast aluminium platter provides a stable rotating platform for the record. Its internal TPE damping ring helps control resonance and reduces wow and flutter, while the anti-magnetic construction also makes the Debut PRO B suitable for use with moving coil cartridges.
The electronically regulated synchronous motor provides accurate and stable playback speeds, with convenient electronic switching between 33 and 45rpm. Playback at 78rpm is also supported using the supplied round drive belt.
A precision CNC-machined aluminium tonearm bearing block, height-adjustable damped metal feet and resonance-controlled MDF chassis complete the design, providing a solid mechanical foundation for accurate record playback.
Handmade in Europe and supplied with a dust cover, phono cable and pre-fitted cartridge, the Pro-Ject Debut PRO B combines easy setup with extensive upgrade potential and genuine high-end design principles.
