The Townshend DCT 300 is a 1m pair of analogue interconnect cables, designed for an open, uncoloured sound and transparency. The design has received awards since 2002 and uses 99% air insulation, reducing the distortion associated with insulation materials.
Bare, thin copper strip conductors are placed inside thin-walled PTFE tubing, with only the edge of each strip contacting the insulator. The conductors use Enhanced™ Isolda Deep Cryogenic Treated (EDCT) copper, selected for its transparency and neutrality. Audiophile-grade locking-collet, gold-plated RCA phono plugs provide the termination. The DCT 300 balanced version is fitted with Neutrik XLR connectors.
