Coffee Coax .75m
The AudioQuest Coffee Coax .75m uses solid conductors with a 10% silver layer over Long-Grain Copper, supporting signal transmission while reducing distortion associated with interaction between strands. Its 5-layer carbon-based noise-dissipation system limits radio-frequency interference, while the 72V Dielectric-Bias System and hard-cell foam insulation help maintain signal integrity. ** Please call for all available configurations **
Solid 10% Silver Conductors
Solid conductors reduce distortion caused by electrical and magnetic interaction between strands. In digital cables, high-frequency signals travel mainly along the conductor surface, so AudioQuest applies a thick 10% silver layer over Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors. Positioning the highly conductive silver on the outer surface enhances signal transmission where it matters most, while keeping the construction cost-effective.
Carbon-Based 5-Layer Noise-Dissipation System
Although complete shielding is relatively straightforward, preventing radio-frequency interference (RFI) from contaminating a system’s ground reference is more difficult. AudioQuest’s 5-Layer Noise-Dissipation System (NDS) uses alternating layers of metal and carbon-infused synthetic materials. The system absorbs and reflects unwanted energy before it reaches the grounding layer, reducing the risk of RF noise interfering with the signal.
72V Dielectric-Bias System (DBS)
Cable insulation acts as a dielectric and can introduce signal distortion. AudioQuest’s 72V Dielectric-Bias System applies a constant electrical bias to the insulation, reducing dielectric-related noise and improving linearity. It also provides wider-band suppression of induced RF noise and supports signal integrity.
Hard-Cell Foam Insulation
Hard-Cell Foam (HCF) insulation maintains precise spacing between the conductors, helping to preserve consistent electrical performance. Unlike conventional insulation, which can absorb energy and release it back into the signal path, HCF is nitrogen-injected to create air pockets. Nitrogen absorbs virtually no energy, reducing signal distortion. The material’s rigidity also maintains a stable geometric relationship between the conductors along the cable, supporting consistent impedance and signal accuracy.
Hard-Cell Foam Insulation
Hard-Cell Foam (HCF) insulation maintains precise conductor spacing while limiting energy absorption. Conventional insulation can store electrical energy and release it back into the signal, introducing distortion. HCF is nitrogen-injected to create air pockets, reducing dielectric absorption because nitrogen does not store or release energy. Its rigid structure preserves consistent conductor geometry along the cable, supporting stable impedance and signal integrity.
Cold-Welded Hanging-Silver over Pure Purple Copper Terminations
The cable uses cold-welded terminations with hanging silver applied directly over pure Purple Copper connectors. This provides a durable, low-resistance connection intended to preserve signal quality and long-term reliability.
