Coffee Coax .75m
Carbon Coax features high-purity Solid 10% Silver conductors and a Carbon-Based 5-Layer Noise-Dissipation system for the most efficient dissipation of radio-frequency noise.
Solid 10% Silver Conductors
Solid conductors reduce the distortion caused by electrical and magnetic interactions between strands. In digital cables, where high-frequency signals travel primarily along the conductor's surface, AudioQuest applies a thick layer of 10% silver over Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors. By placing the highly conductive silver on the outer surface, signal transmission is enhanced where it matters most, delivering excellent performance while remaining cost-effective.
Carbon-Based 5-Layer Noise-Dissipation System
While complete shielding is relatively easy to achieve, preventing radio-frequency interference (RFI) from contaminating a system's ground reference is far more challenging. AudioQuest's 5-Layer Noise-Dissipation System (NDS) addresses this by using alternating layers of metal and carbon-infused synthetic materials. Instead of allowing RF noise to reach the ground and interfere with the signal, the system absorbs and reflects unwanted energy before it reaches the grounding layer, resulting in a cleaner, more accurate signal.
72V Dielectric-Bias System (DBS)
Cable insulation behaves as a dielectric and can introduce unwanted signal distortion. AudioQuest's 72V Dielectric-Bias System applies a constant electrical bias to the insulation, reducing dielectric-related noise and improving linearity. The result is more effective wide-band suppression of induced RF noise and enhanced overall signal integrity.
Hard-Cell Foam Insulation
Hard-Cell Foam (HCF) insulation maintains the precise spacing between conductors, helping preserve consistent electrical performance. Unlike conventional insulation materials that absorb and release energy back into the signal path, HCF is nitrogen-injected to create air pockets. Because nitrogen absorbs virtually no energy, signal distortion is significantly reduced. The material's rigidity also keeps the conductors in a stable geometric relationship throughout the cable's length, ensuring consistent impedance and improved signal accuracy.
Hard-Cell Foam Insulation
Hard-Cell Foam (HCF) insulation maintains precise conductor spacing while minimizing energy absorption. Conventional insulation materials can store electrical energy and release it back into the signal, introducing distortion. HCF is nitrogen-injected to create air pockets, reducing dielectric absorption because nitrogen does not store or release energy. Its rigid structure also preserves consistent conductor geometry along the cable, ensuring stable impedance and improved signal integrity.
Cold-Welded Hanging-Silver over Pure Purple Copper Terminations
The cable features cold-welded terminations with hanging-silver directly applied over pure Purple Copper connectors. This construction provides a durable, low-resistance connection that helps preserve signal quality and long-term reliability.
